Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade, March 12, 2016
Every year, people in Chicago don their best green outfits and head downtown to watch the river turn bright green with buckets of orange dye. Irish step dancers, bagpipers and more paraded down Michigan Ave while onlookers watched, before heading to the nearest Irish pub for a round or two of beer. There were marching bands, politicians and even leprechauns celebrating. Although there’s still a few more days before St. Patrick’s Day proper, see how the city celebrated the holiday with our photos from the parade and river dyeing.
