Running Tour and Q&A with Rebecca Makkai

Gerber/Hart Library and Archives and Read & Run Chicago are hosting a three-mile running tour in Lakeview inspired by Rebecca Makkai's award-winning book The Great Believers. The tour will delve into the history of the 1980s and LGBTQ Chicago, with stops at places like Belmont Rocks and Unabridged, and discuss themes such as the history of the Pride Parade, LGBTQ heatlh/AIDS, Windy City Times and more. Following the run, there will be an in-person Q&A with Makkai at Third Space. A portion of all proceeds will benefit Gerber/Hart.
