Chicago is known for its architecture, and the annual Open House Chicago two-day event is known for giving us behind-the-scenes access to more than 200 significant sites across the city. Last year we captured the best sites in Bronzeville, a newly added neighborhood. But when the sprawling roster added historic hotels, modern spaces and decadent theaters to its downtown list this year, we knew we had to take a peek (and tons of shots).
