It's an annual tradition here in Chicago (and many other cities with subway systems): On one day each winter, hundreds of brave individuals gather on CTA platforms, remove their pants, step onto a train and act as if nothing out of the ordinary is happening. Tourists and travelers are confused, but most people are in on the joke and chuckle to themselves as groups of pantless participants go about their business.

The 2015 edition of the No Pants Subway Ride begins on Sunday at noon, so expect to see some underwear if you decide to ride the Red Line. (Organizers are skipping the Blue Line this year, though you may see some rogue participants in their skivvies.) For a preview of the stripped-down festivities, take a look at our photos from last year's event.
