Haven't gotten around to reading Herman Melville's classic (and lengthy) novel, Moby Dick? To celebrate the book's 200th anniversary, the Newberry Library is hosting a marathon public reading of the tale, which is expected to last for 25 hours or more. Guest such as WGN host Rick Kogan, Northwestern professor Kelly Wisecup and actors Shakespeare Project of Chicago will be among the readers tackling the whale of a book—all 135 chapters of it. After some opening remarks, the reading begins at noon on Saturday, January 19 and will end around 1pm on Sunday, January 20.
