The Felix opened in 2009, bringing a green sensibility to a building that opened in 1926 but had falled on hard times. The structure's exterior remains from the old school; inside, though, it's all change, from the low-key lobby (highlighted by a handsome water feature and a fireplace) to the hotel's owne spa and the crisp and appealing guestrooms. Environmental friendliness covers the water-saving showers, but doesn't preclude against modern convenience: there's free wireless everywhere.
