Time Out says

Looking for something cute to do on Valentine's Day, but don't want to break the bank? Navy Pier is offering free Centennial Wheel rides on February 14 in honor of Valentine's Day, which also happens to fall on National Ferris Wheel Day. Couples (and single folks hoping to meet a special someone) can register for the free tickets and enjoy an amazing view of the city from inside a heated gondola 200 feet above the ground.

Naturally, you'll need to act fast if you want to lock down your free ride. There are 2,014 complimentary tickets available to riders, who will need to RSVP online and then show up at the Pier Park Box Office to claim their ticket. You can also show up and buy a ticket to ride the Centennial Wheel, if you don't feel like jumping through hoops to claim a free ticket.

Need even more of a reason to sign up? One extremely lucky couple that registers for free tickets will be treated to a Valentine's Day date night on the pier, including dinner for two at Riva Crabhouse, a caricature drawing to commemorate the evening and a VIP ride the Ferris wheel. It simply doesn't get much more romantic than that!
