Last night, July 3, did not exactly offer seasonally appropriate weather. A misty gray overcast clouded 60-something-degree air. So we can't blame you if you decided to sit this out on the coach. In case you missed the big bangs of Navy Pier's Fourth of July sky spectacular, the only fireworks show in downtown Chicago, we got you covered with photos from the patriotic affair. Spoiler alert: the fireworks exploded.
Navy Pier will set them off again tonight at 9:30pm, and on July 6 at 10:15pm. In fact, each Wednesday and Saturday, from Memorial Day to Labor Day (and a special show on July 4), Navy Pier makes the rockets red glare and bombs burst in air.
