Book Club Run of 'Last Summer on State Street' with Toya Wolfe

Join Read & Run Chicago and Black Girls Read Book Club for a five-mile, easy-paced run through Bronzeville, inspired by Toya Wolfe's novel Last Summer on State Street. Guide Cynthia Okechukwu will lead runners through various points of interest related to the book and discuss the rise and fall of Chicago's public housing and the construction of the Dan Ryan Expressway as they relate to the story. The run concludes at the Chicago Bee Library Branch, where there will be snacks, book sales with Da Book Joint and an in-person Q&A with Wolfe.
