Book Club Run Inspired by 'The Warmth of Other Suns'

Run an easy-paced, 3.5-mile route inspired by Isabel Wilkerson's The Warmth of Other Suns, an award-winning account of The Great Migration. Wilkerson's story of migrant Ida Mae Gladney inspires the route from the South Shore Cultural Center to Embrace Living Community Center in Woodlawn, where runners will hear from senior citizens who lived through the Great Migration. All proceeds from the run go towards the L.Y.D. Foundation's food initiatives on the South Side. Light bites will be provided. Minimum donation of $20 encouraged.
