Block Club Chicago Block Party

Block Club Chicago is throwing a block party bash at the McCormick YMCA (1834 N. Lawndale Ave.), featuring food, games, kids activities and lots of live entertainment. Enjoy performances from Meg and the Wheelers, Así Así, The O’My’s and more, as well as appearances by Chicago urban historian Shermann “Dilla” Thomas and Frank “Gator” Robb of Chance the Snapper fame. Local vendors like Ivy Hall, One Tail at a Time and Buffalo Exchange will also be on site to showcase their wares, and local restaurants will be offering delicious bites. Admission is free.
