Located in the award-winning Wild Blossom Meadery and Winery, Beverage Art Inc. provides hands-on beer and wine making classes that are perfect for beginners. The Hands On Beer Brewing class is a beginner-friendly activity that makes for a unique date night or an excellent group activity in Chicago. In this workshop, everyone will get to brew five gallons (48 bottles) of beer using their high-quality equipment. Since the fermentation process takes a few weeks, everyone will schedule a follow-up session where they will bottle their beer and take it home. There is a long list of beer styles to choose from, including red ales, porters, stouts, Belgian wits, and IPAs.
If you’re more of a wine drinker, Beverage Art Inc. has you covered here, too. Their Wine Making for Two workshop allows couples to experience the step-by-step process of making their own batch of wine. Participants can choose from either a Cabernet or a Chardonnay and they will learn how to take this beverage from grape to bottle. The workshop also includes a six-gallon vat, which yields between 24 and 28 bottles! Students will also get to sample a few different wines, and each batch is carefully fermented and overseen by the expert winemakers at the facility.
