Bastille Day Celebration

Bastille Day—the holiday honoring the beginning of the French Revolution—doesn't happen until July 14, but you can get ahead of the celebrations at Alliance Française de Chicago's weekend party in the Gold Coast. An afternoon of family-friendly activities (things like face painting, balloon animals, crafts and live music) will be followed by an adult-only evening soiree complete with cocktail demonstrations, classic French games, a photo booth and a live DJ. Food and drink stands will be on hand for both parties. Vive la France!
