Time Out says

Located in the public transportation–accessible suburb of Rosemont, Allstate will always be known to old-school Chicagoans as the Rosemont Horizon. As one of the older venues in the area, this is where the big-name acts have often come (we fondly recall seeing Michael Jackson on the Bad tour here in the ’80s), and it still attracts plenty of star power, including everyone from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to One Direction. The basketball arena also plays host to radio behemoth B96's seasonal shindig Summerbash and DePaul hoops. If a pop group is new to puberty or a seasoned TRL alumnus, they're probably found here.

What’s on

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Holiday prog-rockers Trans-Siberian Orchestra make their annual trip to Rosemont, arriving just before Christmas with an all-new, over-the-top light show set to overwrought versions of seasonal songs. If you're still not tired of hearing the band's inescapable high-octane rendition of "Carol of the Bells," snag a seat and warm yourself in the glow of crackling pyrotechnics and gleaming lasers at one of TSO's Allstate Arena gigs.
