Humboldt Park's Puerto Rican festival is big, boisterous, lengthy and extremely well-attended—but somehow still a source of mystery in Chicago. When TOC wrote about the 25th anniversary of the festival a few years back, the story made a huge splash—and still gets a lot of attention every year. This year's festival kicked off Tuesday, June 15th runs through June 20th. This year, the PR Parade has a pretty solid website, so give that a look, too. Keep in mind that there should be bigger crowds and (nature gods willing) more sun this weekend.
