WE ARE PUSSY RIOT (or) Everything Is P.R.

In 2012, the all-girl Russian punk band Pussy Riot performed a 48-second protest against Vladimir Putin and were subsequently sentenced to two years in prison because of it. Barbara Hammond’s quasi-docudrama WE ARE PUSSY RIOT (or) Everything is P.R. uses all manner of public transcripts and documents to present the story as performed by an imaginary troupe of Yurodivy or ‘Holy Fools.’
