Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre has announced four shows for its upcoming 2014-2015 season. Beginning with A Kurt Weill Cabaret (September 22-October 19), new arrangements and musical direction by Theo Ubique veteran Jeremy Ramey will pay homage to the famous German composer and his work.
Next up in November comes artistic director/co-founder Fred Anzevino's musical production of Always...Patsy Cline (November 17-December 28). It will showcase some of Cline's greatest hits and feature Christina Hall as Patsy Cline and Aaron Benham's return as the musical director.
In March Theo Ubique will perform a classic with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Jesus Christ Superstar (March 9-April 26). This smash hit musical has been mounted four times on Broadway alone but will be given a new intimate and acoustic life with the production team of Anzevino and Ramey.
Benham will close out the season with musical direction and arrangements for A Marvin Hamlisch Songbook (June 8-July 26). This cabaret will be a tribute to one of the most prolific stage and screen composers of the 20th century, with Broadway hits like A Chorus Line and The Goodbye Girl. All performances will be at the No Exit Café. Theo Ubique's 2013 production of A Cole Porter Songbook has also been announced for a return visit as part of this summer's Theater on the Lake season.
