Since it first premiered at Congo Square Theatre Company in 2006, Lydia Diamond’s Stick Fly has consistently racked up productions, including a stop on Broadway in 2011 and at the Windy City Playhouse in 2015. Now it visits Writers Theatre in Glencoe, helmed by Ron OJ Parson. In capturing the witty and wild drama surrounding a wealthy black family’s weekend in Martha’s Vineyard, Diamond has created the kind of smart, funny and moving story that stays in style.
