Evanston's Next Theatre Company today announced its 2014–15 season. The slate opens with Luce (September 27–November 9), about a teenage adoptee whose sunny persona may belie a disturbed streak. Keira Fromm directs the Midwest premiere by J.C. Lee (HBO's Looking and Girls).
Jessica Thebus will helm a production of Shakespeare's Richard III (January 3–February 15), with Michael Patrick Thornton in the title role. That's followed by a world premiere, Jake Jeppson's Turtle (March 28–May 10), in which the eponymous reptile disrupts the relationship between two suburban couples; Damon Kiely directs.
Next will also host a run of the solo piece Killadelphia, written and performed by Sean Christopher Lewis, with dates to be determined.
