Hagen’s Fish Market

This old-school, full-service fishmonger has flair that’s a little bit country and a little bit, uh, Scandinavian. Inside the small hut there’s a fish counter (half fresh, half smoked) and a small grocery featuring Scandinavian staples like lutefisk and herring. Indulge your yen for deep-fried eats with the juicy sea scallops, spicy popcorn shrimp, hush puppies and clam strips. Don’t even try to resist the allure of the elusive deep-fried cheese curd. There’s no seating inside, but there are specially designed bags to keep your fish crispy and hot until you get home—or at least to the parking lot.
