Things of the dove While the name of Ukrainian Village’s new vintage shop, Dovetail, conjures sweet thoughts of feathered things, co-owner Julie Ghatan explains that the word actually means “to fit together completely and harmoniously” and refers to woodworking. In that vein, the shop aims to marry modern aesthetics with mostly mid-century vintage items. Attire for men and women, like button-up vests and taffeta party dresses, range between $20 and $200, respectively, while furniture pieces such as Heywood-Wakefield chairs go for up to $1,200. 1452 W Chicago Ave between Bishop St and Greenview Ave (312-243-3100).
