Formerly a dingy dive that served up some great Indo-Pak food, Usmania cleaned up its act when it moved across the street. Luckily, the food remained the same. Well-executed versions of Pakistani standards like nehari and kebabs join fluffy, nutty rice biryani dotted with bits of tender mutton. Delicious nan and daily specials keep things interesting, while the warm staff earnestly tries to live up to its claim of being “the finest family restaurant in Chicago.”
