Meadowlark Hospitality continues to build out its miniature restaurant empire near the California Blue Line stop with Union, a new American dinner destination boasting a thoughtfully-curated selection of whiskey and local beer. Much like its sister restaurant—the all-day café and salumeria Lardon—Union takes a Midwest approach to European dining, applying a Logan Square touch to the British pub tradition with a seasonal menu of locally-sourced bar snacks and hearty mains. Come for the magnificently juicy Union Burger, which slathers a brisket patty in bone marrow aioli and a frizzle of fried onion strings, but be sure to leave room for a pint (or two) of beer from Midwest producers like Perennial, Begyle and Eagle Park.
