Solazo

Originally founded in 2007, this West Elsdon Mexican restaurant was shut down after an electrical fire in 2019, but reopened in 2021, helmed by the team behind La Josie in the West Loop. The menu is inspired by chef Pepe Barajas's childhood in Mexico, featuring a selection of tacos, enchiladas and ceviches. Make sure to taste some of the rare agave spirits from Jalisco, choosing from a selection of more than 100 agave spirits that include mezcal, tequila and more.
