Meatless Mexican? Yes, please! So say the vegans and vegetarians flooding this little BYOB. Traditional taqueria fare can be had with all manner of mock meat: carnitas, al pastor, even chicharron. As carnivores, much of it tasted similar to us, so we brought in a veg-head who gave it two thumbs—one up and one down. The freshly made masa vehicles that lend this place its name are quite good, but the oddly squishy “meats” were disconcerting. Skip the faux altogether, load up on fillings like cactus and peppers, and grab a made-to-order juice to keep things nice and light.
