This Japanese-Korean restaurant’s decor is a metaphor for the kitchen’s food: nothing too flashy. The flavors of the many turns on fish are subtle, and the presentations are easy on the eyes. Fish is fresher than tomorrow (the sea urchin is especially tender), but the Korean dishes—such as bi bam nang myun, cold, fiery noodles—are the menu’s thunderclap. Service brings a happy mix of wizened sushi chefs and youthful servers. The restaurant is attached to next door’s Paradise Beauty Shop & Sauna—a rubdown would make a fine dessert.
