This location of the local breakfast mini chain is just as kitschy as the others, which is to say it’s a little too heavy on the citrus theme (orange decor, orange-flavored coffee, an orange-themed pancake flight) and the cutesy dishes (French toast kabobs, its signature “frushi”—fruit sushi). But, just as at the other outposts, it works because the food tastes so good: Cinnamon roll pancakes get layered with rich maple-pecan paste, and a Popeye’s breakfast (scrambled eggs with sautéed spinach, roasted tomatoes and garlic oil) will make you glad to eat your greens. Superfriendly service makes you want to brave the crowds to do it all over again next weekend—this time, though, you’ll probably want to go with the regular coffee instead.
