Lasagna, meatballs and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich: Sounds like your average Italian joint, eh? Not quite. At this popular Oak Park café, that lasagna is made with tofu ricotta, the “meat”balls are lentils and the steak is seitan. Meatheads might balk at the nerve, but vegans are all over it, loading up on veg-friendly eats both light (lemony hummus with fresh carrots) and heavy (sweet potatoes mashed with coconut milk and roasted bananas).
