Mity Nice Bar & Grill

The look of this "diner" is less old-school and more new (it kind of has the look of the lobby of a boutique hotel), but the menu retains a certain hominess. A shrimp-and-avocado cocktail skimps neither on sweet shrimp nor spicy tomatoes; “fork tender country ribs” are sweet and boneless and therefore can indeed be cut with a fork; and the hot fudge pie is too decadent to be finished (and that’s a compliment). Mity Nice is not—and never was—a destination restaurant. But after a long, hard afternoon at Bloomies, it’s damn near perfect.
