Is healthy pizza an oxymoron? Not at the Loop location of this surprisingly solid quick-serve mini-chain, which already has devotees in Andersonville and Lakeview. The draw is the whole-wheat, cracker-like crust, topped with organic ingredients like roasted plum tomatoes, fresh ricotta, and baby spinach. Throw some fresh mozz, mushrooms and roasted garlic on there and you have yourself the Florentine, perhaps Mista’s best signature pizza. If all of this healthy talk is bringing out the glutton in you, veer off course for a hefty slab of meaty or cheesy lasagna: The tasty organic roasted vegetable version is low carb and gluten free, but you can balance that out with a side of marinara-doused meatballs and housemade cannoli for dessert.
