Miko’s Italian Ice

The quaint Bucktown takeout window has set up this second shop west of the original in Logan Square. Passersby will find it hard to resist the refreshing watermelon, the fresh strawberry (with seeds and pulp galore) and the sweet, creamy mango. The banana with chocolate chips and coconut is a more acquired taste, but it’s one that, luckily, more people now have the opportunity to try. Italian ice is only offered in the summer (Apr 15–Sept 15); the rest of the year the place goes by Miko's Flipside and has a winter menu.
