Have an entire afternoon to waste? You could spend it at one of the riverwalk tables here, watching the boats cruise by while waiting for your jambalaya or catfish po’ boy to make an appearance. But as much as we love the South Side original of this seasonal riverwalk sibling, it didn’t bring efficiency or execution with it: a two-hour lunch might yield delicious (if greasy) chicken “wangs” and fluffy waffles, but it could just as easily result in a microwaved cup of jambalaya for five bucks. And since all the food here is served with plastic utensils and plates, it takes a lot of searching to find this joint’s soul.
