The Beverly neighborhood breaks out of its friendly tavern mode with this upscale French bistro that is more contemporary chic than country chic. The owners, Patrick and Janice Daley, may be first-timers, but chef Aaron Browning earned his Franco stripes in the revered local kitchens of Le Vichyssoise and Everest. Here, his menu gives classic French dishes a dose of seasonal and contemporary flair, such as skate with a caper and brown butter sauce.
