Fortunately, this Loop lunch spot takes its Middle Eastern options more seriously than its name. Choose between the namesake chickpea fritters, grilled lamb, chicken or beef shawarma, then have your filling rolled into pita, tossed with mixed greens or plated on rice or creamy hummus. Kefta and falafel can be a bit tough from resting under the heat lamps, but the generous use of parsley lends them an herbaceous flavor. Besides, top them with the sprightly baba ghanoush and place them in a whole-wheat grilled pita, and the meal’s flaws will be unnoticeable. So is this the falafel of our dreams? Not exactly. But it just may become the falafel of our lunch.
