The third location of the pan-Asian mini chain recently opened in the old Kaze Sushi space, and it’s better than you’d think. Thai and Chinese dishes are pleasantly flavorful and light on grease, if unimaginative (there’s nothing wrong with a big bowl of comfort in the form of beef chow fun every now and then, is there?). You won’t find any surprises on the sushi side of the menu, either, but you will find a sense of humor: According to the menu, the Obama-nami maki is made with a “diverse group” of ingredients—including unagi, deep-fried salmon and cream cheese—and served with a cheery little American flag toothpick popping out.
