After 15 years as Pizza D.O.C., this Lincoln Square favorite changed its name and shifted its focus to Deutschland. A gleaming brass draft system pouring Hofbräu signals change, but you’ll have to look beyond the pizza and pasta that remain on the menu to find German gems: pork tenderloin with squiggly strands of spätzle and sweet red cabbage alongside, and a massive pork shank with mushroom gravy for dunking the baseball-sized dumplings. With specialties like these, we hope the Himmels go full-throttle with German eats and leave the Italian stuff behind. .
