This East Coast import feels like a cross between In-N-Out and Potbelly: Burgers, made to order, make up 90% of the small menu, and there’s a list of toppings—grilled onions, relish, pickles, barbecue sauce—to pile on. By littering their walls with media praise for their food, this place sets expectations incredibly high. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite live up to the hype: The fries are thick and freshly cut, but the Cajun seasoning they’re dusted with needs a lot more salt, and even with toppings, the burgers can be kind of blah. Still, this stuff is much fresher than McDonald’s, so if you can keep your hopes in check you might be pleasantly surprised.
