Don’t miss the standout ropa vieja, a soft pile of garlicky, tomatoey shredded beef that releases juice and flavor with every chew. Traditionalists will love the authentic bacalao (salt cod), the fried pork chops and the boliche (slow-cooked eye-of-round). Show up early—you may walk by and see some older Cuban men smoking cigars and grunting at the television, but if it’s after 8:30pm, they won’t let you in.
