There is no Thai, no homestyle Japanese food, nothing at this family-run BYOB besides raw fish. Of course, that fish takes many permutations: There are sashimi (such as fresh-water eel and yellowtail) and the familiar rolls (spicy tuna, California), but the focus is on delicious and creative specialty rolls, such as the Flaming VIP—a salmon-topped crab roll singed by actual flames on the plate—and the volcano, which is crunchy (from shrimp tempura), creamy (from avocado) and just a little spicy. Cool off your palate with mango mochi for dessert.
