Take a cue from this enormous restaurant’s past as a steakhouse, and order some beef. The burger’s as juicy as any and comes on a soft onion roll; the strip steak, dressed in gravy and side-by-side with a baked potato, isn’t half-bad either. Ultimately, though, this food is impressive in size more than taste: For $3.50, you can have a half-order of a simple salad that’s the size of a generous full order elsewhere. So don’t listen when the waitress warns that the desserts are “kind of small”: This might be a standard-size slice of flourless chocolate cake, but even so, it’s hard to make more than a dent in something so dense, fudgy and rich.
