It's no small trick to make Navy Pier seem classy, but that's what the team behind America’s Dog has done with this summer-long pop-up. With more than half of the restaurant outdoors and waterfront, there's a lot of scenery to distract you from the pier's more obnoxious aspects (like the guy in the pirate suit barking at passersby to take a ride on his ship). Still, this isn't a place for a great meal. A generous lobster roll on sweet brioche and a glass of wine, sure. But venture into the rest of the menu—dry chicken skewers, for example—and you're right back on the Navy Pier you're familiar with.
