Along with the pad thai and spicy tuna rolls that make up most Thai-sushi joints, this Wicker Park BYOB dabbles in Asian food writ large, with American-Chinese classics like sesame chicken and Korean-inspired kimchi "pancakes." Most of the diners in the space, which is just below street level, are sticking with sushi, though, which comprises most of the menu. We had better luck with the elaborate maki, such as the Godzilla roll (starring crunchy, tempura-battered shrimp), than with the unadorned sashimi. While Thai-sushi mash-ups might be inherently hit or miss, this BYOB does pair quite nicely with Cellar Rat, the boutique wine store next door.
