Owner Dan Sullivan, whose great-grandfather built the space in 1915, is infatuated with spoonerisms (the transposition of the initial consonants of two words). That’s why the steamed bagel sandwiches in this coffeehouse have such interesting names, such as Fart Smella (roast beef and blue cheese on an onion bagel) and Royola Lubin (corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss on a pumpernickel bagel).
