The only way this old-school slice shop could get more New York would be if Woody Allen were rolling the dough, Sarah Jessica Parker were tending the sauce and Michael Bloomberg were working the register. Big, foldable slices are thin and can be piled with spinach, artichokes, ricotta and fresh tomato—though real New Yorkers know that plain is the way to go. Housemade sausage and pepperoni-stuffed “New York rolls” and thick Sicilian slices round out the menu, and the BYOB status keeps things cheap.
