Café Laguardia (CLOSED)

The cocktails veer toward the fruity side at this Bucktown favorite, but the Cuban food is right on target. Fried pork chops (cerdo frito), yellow rice and pigeon peas, spicy “volcano shrimp,” caramelized plantains and Cuban flan feel right at home in the lively dining room. The Laguardia family hospitality and live music on Tuesday and Wednesday nights make up for the sometimes slow-paced service.
