Apparently, when Joe Farina left his corporate chef position at Rosebud and opened his own spot in the South Loop, his legion of family, friends and fans followed. Kisses and Bridgeport-worthy “aaayyyyy”s abound, with enough gelled hair and tanned skin in here to make both Michael Kors and George Hamilton jealous. Both the mediocre Italo-American food and the ’80s soundtrack scream “chain,” but if you’re intent on finding diamonds in the rough (that aren’t on the fingers of the clientele), the salumi and the orrechiette with sweet sausage and rapini will do.
