Bongo Room

It took exactly two minutes for this outpost of the Bongo Room to attract the kind of crowds the Wicker Park location gets, and while we aren’t about to wait two hours for eggs Benedict, we will concede that on a random Tuesday afternoon, this place is a nice pit stop for lunch. The space is pleasant and sunny, the sandwiches are big, flavorful and messy, the service is sweet and the patio looks swell. Red velvet pancakes don’t taste like much of anything, but you’re here for lunch, remember? You can eat pancakes at home.
