Founded by four Vietnamese sisters in San Jose, California, the original Bambu location has grown into a national chain—including its first Chicago location near Argyle Street in Uptown. The shop specializes in the sweet ché dessert beverages, usually made with mung beans, tapioca, pandan jelly and coconut milk. You'll also find teas and Vietnamese coffees on the menu, both of which can be augmented with tapioca boba.
