You’ll be lured in to this diner by the bright vintage sign, the novelty of eating in the Fine Arts Building and the cute art-school servers. Inside, you’ll find a restaurant as old-school as Doug E. Fresh, complete with a bakery case full of pie. But skip those trucked-in desserts: The best bets here are the no-frills breakfast of eggs and bacon; a generous grilled cheese on thick multigrain with hot, Parmesan-sprinkled chips; and a seat on the sidewalk patio.
