Ali Baba Hookah Café

The restaurant is packed with people puffing on flavored tobacco and playing card games well into the night; consequently, the food seems to take a backseat. Nevertheless, this is delicious (if simple) Middle Eastern fare. The foul and baba ghanoush are particularly rich, with deep puddles of golden olive oil dotting the surface, and the kefta kebabs are tender, rife with the robust flavors of beef. We wouldn’t recommend the shawarma, but don’t let that scare you. It’s not deterring others.
